• The “academic school year” is a 32 week language and culture course for students who wish to experience living and studying in Italy. The course combines not only language courses with Italian culture classes at the Scuola Leonardo da Vinci but the syllabus also incorporates the fundamental elements of level C2 of the European Language Portfolio. All in all, the course offers students the opportunity to see at first hand the various aspects of Italy’s rich history and culture. The course is composed of a linguistic element and an academic element:
  1) Linguistic element:
  - 480 lessons of the standard language course
  - 80 lessons of preparation of exam preparation, choosing between two language Diploma «Firenze» AIL: DELI, DILI, DILS, DALI (elementary, intermediate and/or advanced level)
  2) Academic element (80 lessons):
  - Italian Civilisation and History
  - Art History
  - Business Italian
  - History of Italian Fashion and Design
  3) Final research: 10 contact hours of tutoring
• The duration of the whole stay is 32 weeks, (34 weeks for the course starting in September and including two weeks of Christmas Holidays where no courses are held).

Discover your Italy and select your destinations from four of Italy's most memorable cities: Florence, Milan, Rome and Siena.

The program consists of 20 group language lessons in each of the cities for 2, 3 or 4 weeks. The
schools all offer the same course structure but in varying architectural and historic settings.
You will learn about the Italian language and culture without the usual hassles of travel.

  You will change city every week, according to your choice, between Florence, Milan,
  Rome and Siena.

• An introductory tour with your course leader, followed by a delicious aperitif in the Piazza del Campo, the pulsing heart of Siena.
• Two hands-on cooking classes led by the chef of a traditional Sienese restaurant.

• A wine-tasting of the world famous Brunello led by an expert sommelier. As you sample, you will learn the characteristics of Tuscan wines and come to appreciate the complexities of wine production.

• A registration fee of 70 Euro, valid for 12 months, must be paid for any enrollment.

• The course intensity may be changed from week to week.

• Should there be already sufficient knowledge of Italian, the participant can also learn Italian language specific to her/his profession. Please indicate, together with the enrollment, the professional branch requested from the participant

• On request, every private tuition combination can be organized to include lunch with the teacher.

• For Instrument and Canto courses, there are 3 levels of ability:
  - Beginner = up to two years’ study;
  - Intermediate = from two to five years’ study;
  - Expert = over five years’ study.
• Each lesson has a duration of 60 minutes (except the language of Libretti: 45 minutes per lesson).
• All courses can be extended.

  all courses are organized in collaboration with the Music School “Il Trillo”.

• The following instruments can be practiced: Piano, Organ, Harp, Violin, Viola, Cello, Double bass, Flute, Piccolo, Clarinet, Oboe, Bassoon, Trumpet, Trombone, Saxophone, Horn, Guitar, Drums, Electric guitar, Electric bass. All students have to bring their own instruments with them; only Piano and Drums are available at school.
• Each lesson has a duration of 60 minutes, one-to-one with the teacher.
• All courses can be extended or concentrated in more lessons per week, i.e. it is possible to reduce the academic year to 3 months, doing 3 lessons per week.

Thanks to the collaboration with NABA (New Academy of Fine Arts), we are able to offer our students the possibiliy of attending a semester inside a University of Arts, choosing between one of the following areas:

• Visual Arts: painting, drawing, photograpy
• Fashion Design
• Graphic Design and Art Direction

Before starting these courses, students can attend a language course to reach the minimum level necessary to enter in the Art classes. The following are the language
requirements:

• Oriental and Middle Eastern students: 480 lessons of standard language course
• Eastern European students: 400 lessons of standard language course
• Other European students: 320 lessons of standard language course
• Spanish and Portuguese students: 160 lessons of standard language course

The standard language course of 4 weeks consists of 80 lessons.The Art courses have a duration of 12 weeks and consist of 144 lessons.

This course consists of 25 lessons held at the school followed by 20 hours of guided visits to Fashion Shows, Showrooms, Shops, Fairs, Fashion and Design Magazines.

All lessons are held by academic professors and professionals in the fashion and design fields.

The general part of the program always remains the same, while the specific topics change in consideration of events that are happening in the city at the time, i.e.: Milan Fashion Week Woman - "Milano Moda Donna", Milan Fashion Week Man - "Milano Moda Uomo" or Milan Furniture Fair - "Salone Internazionale del Mobile".

The “Part Time twice a week” standard course is held throughout the year on three levels of ability. The daily 2 lessons are held on Tuesday and on Thursday, from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm.
